As far as I know they are a pile of poo ! check the feedback know one mentions that they increased the performance, they just say they received it ok. I understand that they have a resitor in the chip, thats all. I think they are the same as those stupid magnetic things you put on the fule line to save 30% in fuel - yeah right !

Cheers

I presumed they were a bogus money waster but thought I would ask at any rate. Caveat emptor!

Hi Coolred,

Check some of the comments in the feedback (if you want a laugh) - they are unreal, " Excellent trade and comms. No idea whether it works yet, will await next MOT" ??? take it out for a drive FFS !what has a MOT go to do with it. Another classic "hope it works" ??? Wouldn't surprise me if they have worked out how to put a load of scam feedback on their ebay site. If you think about it a 30BHP increase on a normal 240 engine would be in the region of a 28% increase, which would be unlikley just by plugging a resitor into the ECU.

Cheers

Duncan

It looks pretty dubious, but I guess you could email some of the folk that bought it and ask what performance testing they've done since fitting the 'chip'.
All the best,
Ben

Hi coolred..The best performance chip you can trust is the one that involves good/regular maintenance on your trusted motor...I suppose if these chips prevented the car from starting that would at least would save petrol!!..It all sounds a bit of a wonder product!..cheers coolred..hj.

Hi there, I bought a 'Add 15 bhp' chip off ebay, taking no chances as it came for £6 instead of what they claim to be £50 worth. Firstly, the packaging revealed the words 'this product is called add 15 bhp it does not mean that will add 15 bhp to your bike'. What I actually got was a resistor which replaced the air temp sensor. Back to back on the same dyno same day it was worth a stunning 0.6 bhp increase.....bearing in mind this was on a YZF-R1 which produced a reading of 159 rwbhp that isn't a huge increase, even for £6! Car wise I reckon clearing out the boot of my Volvo would have greater effect.
All the best, Steve

Hi Magneto,

Thanks for being the one to try the device. It would be hard to challenge your conclusions. Sorry you're out the money but we're all now the wiser and the suspicions have been confirmed.

Judging by the excellent english grammar within that advert the seller must be so unbeleivably intelligent and know all the physics about how it works. I would almost guarantee it will be the best product you buy this year!

NOTTTT!!!
