Default XC90 19" wheels

Hello - does anyone know if the current 2009 model year XC90 R-Design 19" wheel will fit on a 2005 model XC90 2.5T? Thanks.

hi, i have an 06 executive, and have just replaced the standard 18" alloys with Vulcanis 19" from the 08 spec r design.

the dealer who flogged them to me was worried that they wouldn't fit, as they have 255/50/19 tyres, and would prutrude from the arches, which would entail fitting a £500 arch extention kit, but when i spoke my local Indy he said he would have no problem passing it for the MOT.

they sit flush with the bodywork, and they look awesome, they fill the arches so much better than the 18".

downside - slightly harder ride, a little more road noise, and mpg slightly down i assume to more rolling resistance, but i wouldn't go back to the 18"'s.

good luck

will get some pics of mine up soon. just realised the only one i have so far is on the 18's.

in the meantime, the 2nd picture down on this site http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=119047 (sorry to link to this), shows the arch extensions. something for the future, but cannot afford now. my xc90 is also titanium grey, and the wheels are pirelli rubber are identical to the 2nd picture.

I saw an XC90 with these rims on last week and I have to say they completely change the look of the car. Sounds strange, but at a glance, it made the XC90 look more like an estate car than a large 4x4/SUV thing. Hard to explain, but I was surprised. I thought the wheels looked brilliant tbh and I am thinking about getting a quote for them when I need new tyres on mine.

Hi,

My My06 SE-SportX is running on 20" Evo Star alloys with 265/45R20 tyres with a very slight wheel arch extension, there a few images on the companies website who did the body kit work:

I have a '04 model and am I now have the Volvo 19" Galateia rims on, with 255/55-19 tyres on. No problems.
Earliere I had 20" with 275/45-20 tyres on, as shown here on the picture below.
No Problems there either.
