Default budget roofbars

What do people recommend for budget roofbars for my V90 - these for getting occasional timbers etc from builders merchant - don't really want to spend the full volvo price for something that will only be used occasionally

Hi,
I've not bought any for my V90 yet but on nearly all of my previous Volvos I used to have a set of Thule roof bars and bought the different feet pack for each car change.

On my last Volvo however, a first-generation XC90, I broke with tradition and bought some much cheaper Halfords 'own make' roof bars which if I'm honest, were no different/worse/better than the Thule kits.

On that basis I'm likely to buy some budget ones for my V90 when, like you, I have an occasional need for them.

Hope this helps?

Paul

Like you , in recent years I've used one set of Thurle bars and whatever feet nneeded for the car. On my last car (V70) i found an unused set of Halfords feet on e bay. They were branded Halfords but made by Thurle. Much cheapèr than s/h Thurles and just as good.
Haven't bothered for present V90 sin e I'm past heaving things on and off the roof
