V60 clutch release bearing noise
Our 2012 V60, 60K miles, clutch release seems to rattle when the clutch is depressed. Noise goes when the clutch is released and left in neutral. its drivable but worried its going to get worse
Volvo dealership mechanic suggests its the clutch release bearing. To fix is a clutch out, they didn't seem interested in doing the job... to the point I gave up requesting a price. Mr Clutch suggested replacing all the clutch internals: clutch, dual mass flywheel, release bearing and master cylinder - a nice tidy £1250 job... Anyone else had release bearing issue? how long could it last? Mr clutch painted doom and gloom... any other suggestions? |

Had similar symptoms (started with squrk on on the clutch pedal initially) around the same mileage on my old V60. Volvo dealership indicated this as a red item on their service and quoted £1,300. I cautiously drove it to 120k miles with same clutch, then eventually traded the car in.
