I guessed it was EOL but still they are taking the p1ss. I meant it was about £10 when you could buy them.

Could probably be 3D printed for £10. Would probably be as effective.

The gearbox/bellhousing and prop need removed to change it.
It is probably possible to create 3D printed block that would fit in the hole, clip in and hold the sensor so that dissassembly is not necessary.

3D printing is a pretty good idea. It is not under any stress so would be a good way around it

but does get very hot back there but personally for the sake of 60 euros its not worth the time effort and ****ing about involved to design and make one its more cost effective to just buy a new one or second hand one there was one on ebay a while back for 20 quid with the sensor

Should be less than 100C anyway, and within spec but material might get a bit soft.
Its a bit of risk of 2nd proto but I think a design could be done in a fraction of the time needed to replace the part, nevermind sourcing it.

I can take my spare bracket to work and get the panel beater to make one for you. He makes wings for pre war cars and mudguards for pre war motorbikes by hand so a flat bracket will be a walk in the park for him.

It all depends what mood he is in when I ask him haha.

It doesn't look like a panel beater job, its quite a complicate small precise item, are you thinking of something else?

Either someone designs a press-in part that doesn't need the GB removed, get a used part or CNC some new ones.

Sorry, for not replying to the comments, I appreciate all the help though.

So yeah, to get the bracket out I had to drop the gearbox.
At a Volvo dealership this part is not available.
I live in Poland so buying the part on Skandix + sending an international package would be stupid expensive.
I couldn't find the part anywhere in Poland used or new for a few weeks.
But finally some guy was selling parts from his B230 and was dropping the gearbox anyway to sell the clutch to somebody so he hit me up about the bracket.
He came up with a very high price for it (around 40quid) but I bought it anyway since that was the fastest option for me.
I asked him to be careful taking it off, and he shipped it the next day.
It FINALLY arrived yesterday.

I'll install it either this weekend or next week. I'll keep you updated if it's worth buying a used one
