Default iPhone not ringing through car speakers

Good morning everyone. I own a 2017 S60 and my iPhone is connected via Bluetooth. When the phone rings it shows on the display, but the sound of the ringing does not come via the car speakers, only on the phone.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Thanks

Hi, did you find a solution to your Bluetooth problem?
I have a 2014 V60 which I have my Huawei P20 connected to. I used to get a ring tone through the stereo speakers when anyone called, until my Android phone updated.
Now when I receive a call there is no ring tone from the speakers and if my phone is set to silent the only way I know I am receiving a call is when the sound from the stereo disappears and a box appears on the display showing who is calling.
Any ideas?

I've also got this issue, I'm sure it used to work ok but hasn't for quite some time. I almost always have the radio on so it going off alerts me to the call but would be nice if it ringed!

I also have a P20 Pro and this happens. Seems to be the car doesn't have its own ringer and uses the phone, hence when it's on silent it will not ring. I've also found if it's not on silent it takes the car a few seconds to start ringing so if you pick up straight away it never does it. A little annoying but I always just go by the fact the radio has stopped...

I don't know if this will help anyone. I have an I-phone 6s linked to my XC60. Recently, for some unknown reason, I lost the call history display function on the car. It came up but with no history listed. Everything else worked fine. I rang Volvo to see if there were any updates and they said no. I was advised to disconnect the phone from the car and then re connect. Bingo, it worked. No problems since.
