I was then told to keep a record of when the alarm goes off, to note the temperature and weather conditions so they can simulate the conditions to find the fault.
At this time they could not find a fault with the car although codes were found.
What the hell has the weather got to do with it?
Getting back to the original problem.....

It your car a 06 model year? Has it had the connector/terminals greased in the front door looms?

If yes to the above then you need to have both the male and female terminals replaced with gold terminals in the looms to both front doors to prevent further problems.

Try a different dealer or contact customer relations directly yourself.

Ive had the terminals greased several times, but this did not stop the fault. The dealer is now going to repace the terminal pins in the A pillar although they cant find the fault.

Last week the car went into gremlin mode.

Firstly I locked the car, returned to find the doors unlocked. I opened the door and the alarm went off. When i returned home and locked the car, the alarm then started to go off for no reason. Later on the car started but idled roughly for 1.5-2 minutes. Then to top it all off when returning to the car, I could not unlock the drivers side doors. The passenger side unlocked. I tried to lock and unlock the car with the remote but the same happened. I went to the passenger side to get into the car to find that the front window was open. The inside of my car was wet from the heavy rain. Not bad as the window had not been opened all day.
If this was a house, I would want and exorcism.
Ive given the dealer another attempt to sort the car out but they cant find anything. They dont even contact Volvo upon their request when the car is in the dealership.
There is a bug in the system just like a virus but Im not getting any answers.
