Here is my photo which seems irrelevant in light of the latest posts.

If the LEDs are considered road legal by an MOT Tester and are not bothering other road users, why is it a problem? I am very happy with mine, they have created a safe night driving environment for me.

Thanks Laney that's just the sort of pic I wanted to see. The dust cover looks 'larger' than on my '90 745 Facelift.

Guess you haven't got any pics of the light fitting with the dust cap off and, can you answer the question of how many grub screw light beam adjusters are on your LED 'bulb'. One or two?

Cheers, Bob

Thanks Dave much appreciated. I think from what you have said that you have the older style bulb fitment with two grub screws rather than one. I was interested to know what Laney had as they were bought after my 'modified' ones. Bob

I'll get a couple of shots for you later Bob, weather permitting of course!

Think i've just fixed my fuel gauge, not going to say too much about it at the moment as with any intermittent fault, you can't be sure until it's worked correctly until past the time it would normally fault and then some.

Either way, i'm frozen now so won't be until i shift my butt for some shopping in a while!

While i'm out depriving Sainsburys of dog food and sticks plus a couple of my essentials, the fuel gauge will get tested. I'll also find somewhere suitable to get the pics for you.

Thanks Dave ... absolutely no hurry for as said my headlight upgrade is on the back burner for the present.

Great news about the Yzi fuel gauge and look forward to hearing what you did in due course.

S'bury's 'essentials' are necessary when it cold outside .... and inside. The 'inner man' can always do with a little fortification at such time of year. Naturally, I am referring to Mince Pies!!

Cheers, Bob

Right hand headlamp ^^^^^

Left hand headlamp ^^^^^

I'll do a separate thread for the fuel gauge repair and sneak a link in later Bob.

I shouldn't have mince pies, full of pastry and sugar which i'm not meant to have much (if any!) of. I do sneak a few in though!

Likewise i sneak a few other naughty foods in!

Typing on my phone so excuse errors. Bob, I am away until next week but will get some proper photos then. Mhuk, although my LEDs are the same brightness at all switch positions, I assume that like me you still have main beam when the non LEDs also come into play? I am still wondering why you find your lights a problem and wonder how they could behave differently to mine?
