Sounds like a bit of a nightmare, is it one to not worry about updating?

If you do want to update it, uninstall the app first. To be safe do a full switch off of the car and leave it a while before re-installing.

Sensus is not the most robust platform I've found. When they move to full Android Automotive (not Android Auto) it should improve although it's unlikely to be backwards compatible to our cars. Will likely need better HW (memory, CPU) and a higher resolution screen thus probably next generation of SPA cars. It's on the new Polestar 2 if you want to have a look at that via Google.

I use the app daily but I've not been forced to update it, odd you are?

Yep mine has failed today.

Message within the Spotify app said I needed to update and it prevents you doing anything within the app until its updated.

So I clicked the update which duly failed. Uninstalled the app and now it won't reinstall!!

Really really annoying as I use Spotify every single day.

I'll keep trying over the coming days and see if the install clears itself.

Back to DAB I suppose.

This is weird on the way home I got the message an update to spotify is required, select update and instantly fell over!

I can uninstall if I do how do I reinstall?

I can't see a list of apps available for download.

No point uninstalling; it doesn’t help.

Ridiculous state of affairs re the Spotify app.

When Volvo get loads of warranty claims hopefully they will sort this. The Audi system on Mrs S’s TT is so stable.

Huge pain having to go to the dealer for a fix.
