Default My car is a wiring nightmare!!!!

Morning all

Its me again, I'm sorry for asking yet another wiring question!!

I previously identified that I had an unplugged wiring connector hanging down the front of my engine block. I got some great advice from Fenton (T5R92011) who identified that it was the PCV cable so this has now been rectified. Thankyou Fenton Why you'd unplug it who knows as the famous 'glove test' shows my PCV is working fine!!!

My new problem is the oil pressure sender unit, its not plugged in and for the life of me, I cant find the wire!!! I have been on top of, and underneath the car and it just vanished!!! When I first turn on the ignition the oil light comes on and then goes off, even before the engine is started, and the same with the amber engine light.

I don't think is normal, but can anybody provide their thoughts or advice on this please? Also, if the wire is missing (as I suspect), does anybody know where I can try and trace the wire back too in the wiring loom?

Thanks all for your time and support as always

According to my book of wiring diagrams; the oil pressure switch for the 5-Cyl Turbo engines has a single wire coloured BK-BN (black and green) which seems to be wired straight to the ECU - doesn't look like it comes from a harness as such.

OPS is at the front of the engine screwed into the block, my knowledge is limited but that's as far as I could understand it from the above book.

Thanks Welton, that's helpful. I did find a single black and green wire but it was routed to the A/C compressor!!

You'd think it would be easy to find a singular wire with that 'particular end
