Hooked on BMW X5...I have left the forum(temporarily)
Busy four weeks.... Felt like changing my car after about 60K... Went and test drove the BMW x5,30D, M sport 7 seater...... Feel in love with the handling, and tech in the car, Sold my R design XC90 ,Bought the BMW( Gosh ,It handles amazingly and is suprisingly comfortable..ps...If you want one of them , make sure it has "comfort seats"... Here are some pictures... I am sure I will be back in a few years to the XC90...Hopefully the new model in 2015 will live up to expectations.... |

Very nice motor, it does make the xc90 look and feel a bit 'dated'...

Make sure
you jump the queues Tailgate on motorways And park badly as frequently as possible That will be in line with the image. Personally, i hate those x5. Useless on anything muddy due to low profile tires. They are just good at shouting how much money you have. My neighbough got his stolen in less than 2 weeks... Thiefs 'found' the keys in the kitchen at night time |

The image "issue" is nonsense tbh. I owned one for 3 years and never experienced any anomosity towards me or the car, in actual fact it had more admirers than haters.
As for the X5, it's a fantastic car and out guns the XC90 in pretty much everything apart from perhaps the fuel economy.....? I've not jumped ship myself but if it was to move onto a different 7 seater it would definately by the BMW. Lovely car btw, although black leather with silver trim is probably my least preferred option (bland and cold imo). Enjoy mate - good choice. |

[QUOTE=Golfather;1170006]The image "issue" is nonsense tbh. I owned one for 3 years and never experienced any anomosity towards me or the car, in actual fact it had more admirers than haters.
As for the X5, it's a fantastic car and out guns the XC90 in pretty much everything apart from perhaps the fuel economy.....? Actually, the combined MPG was a major reason for my choosing the X5.. the quoted combined MPG is 38.2( far better than the XC90 34 ish)..... in reality , you need to be allergic to the throttle to get close to the official figures!...Also my insurance premium has dropped from £1020.00.on the XC90( with a declared chip of a 15 BHP increase) to £465.00 !!.....Don't ask me for an explanation! |
