It would be nice (although not if I get the MY2011.5) if those pic's were of the MY2012 car, but I'm pretty sure they are the early concept car pics from 2007 (google "XC60 concept" images and loads of these appear)

Yep - these would appear to be the early concept car pics, look at the groovy head rests with holes in them and different shaped wing mirrors. Nice though!

There will be some external change, but mainly in R-design models.

Due to EU requirements about LED lights, the new daylights
will be mounted in the same place where the fog lamps were in previous version MY11.
And there will be completly new light system using less energy.

Of course the price will rise about 5%.

If I have more details let you know immediately.
OK, I give up. You have a right.
It is a concept car from 2007, but who knows how xc60 will look after facelift in next year?

Maybe someone has more info about this or in the future will have?
I am curious if there will be a small facelifting in exterior view (interior was this year - new center stack).
Usualy after 3 years on the market it is time for a facelifting.
I ordered the XC60D5 MY12 and Volvo is gonna produce it from week 18 2012. It will be delivered around week 22. Big changes is the horsepower which increase to 215hp. Torque is the same. Because there is also an invironmental progress the price here in Holland is reduced with €1.300 euro's!

That kind of ties-up with what my dealer said Jimmy. For anyone interested here is the UK MY12 price list, subject to change.

Don't know if I would call 205 to 215 a big change. Also the XC60 already had daytime running lamps so I will be surprised if they do make any changes there at this time.

Time will tell.

Interesting! Still seems very odd why the D5AWD manual has better urban and combined fuel consunption than the D3FWD although it is nearly 100Kg heavier can anyone think why?

Default Stop/Start Geartronic

Just read an update from Volvo that suggests stop start will be available on an auto from Autumn 2011. It was mentioning the V70 and S80 but I'm sure it will be available on the XC60 soon after.

thought this may be of interest. Some pics of the new 215bhp D5 there with changes highlighted.

Must say - the V70 (my current but hopefully soon to be ex car) has changed a lot since my 04 version...

As I reported earlier in this thread - post 77 - it is not that easy to put stop start on an automatic gearbox. I believe it requires either a new version of the existing gearbox like the new ZF 8 speed with oil pressure control or a new gearbox or perhaps the adoption of the Ford twin clutch gearbox that is currently used on the petrol autos. These would be major changes.

Does anyone have any information regarding HOW they intend to implement stop/start on the XC60?
