P2135 code c30 t5
Volvo c30 se lux t5 2007.
Good evening everybody. About a month ago the car went into limp mode. Never had eml light on. Drove but obviously won't go above 4000rpm and not very fast. I read the code and the only one that came up was p2135. I replaced accelerator and it went away. Then a couple of days later it came on again only this time it had reved up and down without being touched accelerator wouldn't work at all or would work periodically . Would rev flat out even with limp mode on and other strange things. Took out fuse compartment in passenger footwell cleaned electrical terminals etc. And codes went away but after about 20 min of driving it came back again. Stopped car and restarted it went away again. Always p2135 code no other codes never had eml on either. Any suggestion welcome. Cheers malky |

Having read this article, the next thing I would look at is the throttle position sensor on the throttle body itself.

Hi there i had throttle body off and looks immaculate inside and out.(would say its not original to car). It open and closes smoothly but i did wonder about an electrical fault. Could try one from scrappies and see if it's not can always take it back for refund.

There was talk of the wiring to/from the accelerator pedal becoming worn on some cars (I think a TSB was raised or a recall) would be worth checking the condition of the wiring harness going to the pedal itself.
