Unhappy Help please, car in limp mode

My v50 1.6drive has had sooo much work done, I am now running out of money for repairs. However, whilst out on a motorway. A few weeks ago, it went into limp mode with a message of "steering service urgent". After some research I changed the steering angle sensor and the yaw sensor. It still shows the same fault on the dashboard, I am now told it may be something to do with the brake control module. Can anyone tell me where I can find it. I am slowly losing the will to live with it, and I am desperate to get it fixed.

Many thanks in advance

Who is the garage? Is it a Volvo dealer?

Have you had a fault code readout done using Volvo's proper VIDA diagnostic software and what codes did that show?

The car hasn't been to volvo, but we have used vida diagnostics tool. Can't remember the exact codes but it refers to the bcm, apparently I need to check that the plug is free of corrosion and is firmly in place. I just need to know where to find the little bugger, as looking on the Web nobody seems to agree where it is.
