Default Accident hit head on!!!!!!!

Yesterday morning in the snow I was hit head on by a driver whole lost control on a corner ans came over my side.

I was almost at a stand still, he said he was doing 35mph

No air bags went of but I'm thinking its going to be a write off

Once I managed to open the bonnet I could see the slam bar is about 4" further back on the passenger side. And actually touching the air filter.

All were unharmed bar a little whiplash

.

Glad to hear everyone is ok. Doubt that 58 plate would be a total loss with the pictured damage.

If he was doing 35 and hit you head on then it is impressive how your car stood up, it looks barely damaged. Whiplash is normally worse when you are hit from behind. Wonder why the airbags didn't deploy. Glad no serious injury here.

Going to slow I think they only come on above a set speed, and a level of force.

Because he was 'almost at a stand still'.

Glad you are all okay, quite often the actually damage behind the bumpers will be worse than looks because the plastic bumpers have a lot of flex in them and the metal behind doesn't.

Yes he lost a lot of speed putting the back end up the verge, think his focus was a little worse on the out side.

Not quite totally head on.

I was almost at a stand still as I saw him coming at me and was able to reduce my speed

Here you can see the bend he lost it on and the route his back end took up the verge.

He was actually coming at me sideways when he mounted the verge then straightened up to make contact.

35mph?????

That looks very much like he was driving according to the road conditions and within his ability as a driver.

Not.
