Alternator for 850TDI

Has anyone got one for sale please?
Also are the ones on eBay that are £120-£140 any good?
I got quoted £250 plus my old alternator at partsforvolvos,seems excessive no?

Hi, I recently had one supplied and fitted by a garage for about £260, so £250 + your old alternator and the joy of fitting it youself, ( this is distinctly tongue in cheek - it took the garage much longer to fit than they estimated, apparently involved a lot of swearing and the mechanic finally saying it was the most awkward one he'd ever done on a volvo), does seem a bit steep.

I'd ask on the forum since I'm sure I've read of other people changeing their own, but I don't think anyone found it a quick and easy job to do.
