Deadlock after delay?

Silly question time.
After a remote-lock my V40, after a few seconds the locks make a quiet click noise. Is this the doors deadlocking or something else?

Thanks Druid, good to know for peace of mind, I keep tools in the boot (covered!)

Does the boot deadlock? I remember when my battery went flat the boot was the only way I could get into the car. The drivers lock definitely dead locked, it would not move with the key until the battery was charged & I used the remote.

round here thugs just break a window and pull the seatbacks down to access the boot, it's quickest.

Was wondering does the door automatically deadlock after 30 seconds or does the lock button on the key fob need to be pressed twice to deadlock?

It deadlocks automatically. I'm not even sure if you can turn it off.
