Immobiliser needs deactivating?
Hi all
I have a 1999 V40 which I am breaking but I've hit a snag of my own making! I have lost the keys and remote (don't know how or where obviously!) I was able to get in to the car as the drivers door was unlocked, fortunate as it was a fix waiting to be done. My problem now is the immobiliser is still active and i am unable to open any of the other doors. I removed the steering column shroud and the igniton switch from the back and was able to get the ignition switched on. Even the internal central locking switch beside the info centre doesn't work. Your help would be appreciated guys! Thank you in advance. Tony |

Locking/unlocking the doors has nothing to do with the immobiliser. It's all down to the fob and lock alarm module. If you can get hold of a donor lock alarm module and fob from the same car, you can then plug it in and use the fob to unlock the car.
