If so, no-one told me ;(

I gather there are a few VOC users who are from Edinburgh/Glasgow area? If anyone would like to meet up somewhere central to us all so that we can put faces to names and cars then pm me and i will arrange something if you like.

From Cockburnspath - happy to meet up but currently out of work so have little to spare for petrol on non essential journeys.

Interested to hear of Scottish section of VOC. I'm near Forfar. There used to be a Scottish Volvo Owners Club, they used to attend a lot of the local car shows - never see them now.

There has been a Scottish Section of the Volvo Owners Club for the past two years, with a grand total of around 14 registered members spread throughout Scotland, it was made up mainly from some of the members of the Scottish Volvo Club. I have tried numerous appeals for new members without great success. The section has been advertised on the VOC website and in the Driver magazine, but has never really taken off, mainly, I suspect, to the size of Scotland, and the problem of people travelling long distances to attend car shows and meetings. At the initial meeting held to form the Section nearly FIFTY prospective members turned up and then vanished into the wide blue yonder! The biggest turn out was at the Callander Classic Event in August this year when we had a total of twelve cars!, despite a varied programme of events being advertised in the Driver magazine no one seems to be all that interested.
Anyone out there got any ideas/suggestions ?????

i'm not a Voc member myself, just use the forums a lot. Iain's doing a grand job with his performance meets at the crooked billet in england, just thought it would be a good idea to try a smaller version of that up here, we could meet at a pub/ restaurant, admire the cars and get some grub :)

Ben Dover Boys!!!!

Right then..... What about this...

1/ a half days hire of Knockhill, with as many laps as possible allowed??

2/Perth Off Road Centre do an excellent day for £25, including landrovers, quads, reverse steering, archery, followed by a real plate full of food & beer along at the Yetts O' Muckhart Inn, a really good way to end the day!!

3/ Dealership Visit on the Golden Mile, in Perth + Pub Lunch??

4/ Treasure Hunt - Driver & Navigator + Pub Lunch

C'mon People, End of the season is looming so lets be seein' ya!!!

Regards
