It's funny nobody has been able to provide a link to these magical jewel replicas for only £165, the only other jewel set known to exist are the Depos which are for LHD vehicles and come to $300 +postage and import fees coming to $360. New sets from Volvo were around £400.

The cheapest way of all is simply to replace the old headlamp glass for brand new crystals - no grit nicks/chips/cracks & works out around £90 for the pair - UK sourced and delivered

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-C70....c100005.m1851

the other alternative with even more "modern" styling are these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scheinwer...MAAOSwPCVX7hFI
which currently cost £215 for the pair including VAT with P&P delivered from Germany with no import tax as it is within the EU. ($312 // €247)

Which equates to £179 without the VAT - the price has marginally increased since

When these were originally offered I did wonder fleetingly if they would fit my Mk 1 V70, but, even at the reduced price, could not justify them on a car that only cost me £550.

When my car received an advisory on the N/S headlamp at it's MOT, I knew that I had to replace it. I contacted 'Minty' of these forums and he sold me an excellent second hand one for a very reasonable amount. My local garage fitted it when the car next went in to them and it has since passed an MOT with no problems.

As my original problem had more to do with a tarnished reflector than a damaged 'glass', I scrapped the reflector but have kept the 'glass' as a spare.

It is possible to run these cars for very little outlay without compromising safety or reliability if one uses the services of people such as 'Minty'. They provide a valuable service and deserve our support.

Regards, John.

Absolutely agree, I've bought parts from Minty several times - the parts are always in good condition and have saved me hundreds of pounds.

I sold about 5 pairs of these headlamps for 150-180 pounds, so I know how much this is worth
I will be waiting for a determined buyer. I do not hurry

I've always thought it best not to be a confrontational seller..............apart from your initial attempt and consequential posts after sign up to the forum to sell your "cared for units" the only other post to date was to seek the availability of a C70 egg crate grill.

So where else did you sell the other 5 pairs of crystals lights?
