Volvo V70 D5
I'm sort of reluctantly selling my V70 as we bought a different one at short notice which works better for the kids; so here goes in a slightly waffling manor! After around £1500 for it.
It's a 2002 manual V70 (obviously) with 142,000 and a bit miles on it. Will be on it's original number plate (assuming DVLA re-allocate it) of DE02UOH when it's sold. Full service history, but the last 4 years by myself, so no record of it in the book. The car's 16 years old, so what do you expect! It's had all (I think) of the big jobs done: Clutch and slave cylinder before I bought it There's a hand written note in the service book that the timing belt has been done - I checked the manufacture date on the pulleys - they where made in 2011, so that pans out. Will need replacement in 3-4 years. In-tank fuel pump done about 15,000 miles ago, brand new unit. All brakes including handbrake shoes replaced over the last couple of years. I've just done the auxiliary belt and all pulleys as there was no evidence of these being changed with the timing belt. New rear shocks, upper mounts and droplinks fitted over winter. Instrument panel repair by Lucaz due to the usual fault. The car doesn't have the 'winter pack', so I fitted aftermarket heated seat elements - that's what the buttons are near the gearstick. It also has the Volvo buttons (which are inactive) as my Volvo dealership reckoned they could activate them with a software update but failed to do so - it the meantime, I'd lost the blanking piece so just left the buttons in place. The car runs really well; in fact it's far nicer to drive than the replacement. If you're wondering, I had a CV joint fail on Maundy Thursday and couldn't get a replacement until after easter (all fixed now). I also have an autistic 4 year old, you just can't change plans at short notice so had to rush to buy a replacement which if I can get running properly will be a better car for the kids - so the wife has told me to sell this one. If I don't get any bites, I will be tempted to swap the engines! Only slightly joking! The tyres are about half worn. MOT'd until November 18 with no advisories. I have a spare set of 4 Amalthea wheels/tyres in various conditions, I was going to use these as a spare set, but do so little mileage these days they'll never get used. If the buyer of the car wants them, they can take them otherwise I'll offer them for sale once the car has gone. Currently only got 1 key, we did have a second but it disappeared a few months ago - should it turn up I'll post it on, but assume there's only the one. Forgot to mention the bits that still need doing: Aircon needs a regas 2 of the door central locking actuators sometimes don't work - I have replacements which I may fit, but if I don't get chance will include with the car.
