Hi all,
Has anyone got any updates on how Tommy is? I've not heard from him since this thread was last posted upon, and still no parts this end so I'm presuming he's been too unwell to post. Starting to worry about the old chap, I hope he's bearing up.

I know Bob was in touch with him a few weeks (maybe more) ago Phil, he'd just been in hospital and had arranged with Bob for further contact. He may have still been in hospital when he arranged it with Bob but i don't know anything more than that. Perhaps Bob can add to and/or correct anything i've put there, it's a while ago and weeks may in fact have been months.

I regret to say that I have not been able to make any contact whatsoever (not without trying sometime ago) with Tommy.

All I know to his health is that we were going to talk at the time of my last post on this thread very shortly after he came out of hospital from a serious heart op, and he seemed to be OK, but thereafter absolutely no contact, total silence.

Bob.

P.S. - Regrettably I have lost his phone number when my phone died some 6 months or more ago. I have just sent messages to him on both LinkedIn and Facebook. I shall also send him a short letter by 'snail-mail' to see if I get a reply. - Bob.

Let's hope the "radio silence" is purely for recuperation then!

Thanks Bob. I sincerely hope he's just recuperating, as Dave said...thankyou for reaching out to him-please keep us posted.

I've been corresponding with Tommy irregularly by email, the last being between Christmas and New Year to wish him the compliments of the season and enquire as to his health. He apologised for not fulfilling my order and advised that he had been admitted to hospital for a number of days at the end of November for a long awaited surgical procedure which appears to have been successful as he is improving slowly and slowly regaining lost weight.

I emailed him a few weeks ago but no response.

He does appear to have dropped off the radar entirely. I have also reached out to him to no avail. I never received my parts or refund, but of course this is academic when a member of the Volvo family has serious health concerns. Keeping everything crossed that he's still with us and on the mend.

Is there anyone who knows him personally and in a position to make further enquiries of him? It’s sad that one of our community just seems to have disappeared.
