Default Blue 940 Turbo Diesel, Kent on Ebay - don't bother with it

Anyone who's watching or interested in this car in Kent, don't bother. Although it's high mileage the owners told me it's been looked after and that all that is wrong with it is that one of the manual window winders doesn't work, the rear windscreen wiper doesn't work and the cambelt change is coming up

I've been to look at it today, the suspension is terrible, the brakes grind and pull to one side, the brake fluid level is down, the steering is hardly a bundle of fun either, other electrics not working other than what the sellers told me on the phone, drivers electric mirrors - one doesn't work, one mended with copious amounts of what look like chewing gum, very large hole from smoking in driver's seat. Coolant system must have a problem, maybe a blockage, the car has been used all day, she went out in it, then she picked me up from the station in it, I had a test drive, went back to hers, the coolant level was not only down in the reservior bottle but very very cold! A brief glance at the engine revealed a lot of oil where it shouldn't be. All this when I'd only just started looking, didn't waste any more of my time looking at it. Saddest Volvo you ever saw, doubt she's had a coat of wax in the 11 years they've had her - sad, such a great car neglected, can't believe its the same year and model as mine.

It would only be worth buying to break for parts by the looks of it. How sad

To be honest I imagine most of the parts are knackered. The seller told me the car had been well looked after. I didn't judge it by its need of a wash and wax or missing wheel trims in the picture. I would have been happy buying it for just the engine, which did seem ok but seeing that she'd been running it with the coolant system as it was, who knows what future effects it will have on this engine, as you know these engines must not be driven hard until warmed up, which takes a long time, in some people's opinions they should not be driven hard for 10 minutes after the needle reaches 12 o clock. That and her attitude problem to be honest, lol
