All the above. most diesel contains around 5% Bio-diesel these days.
No the D5 can't run on high % of Bio-diesel as already said due to the lubrication properties - or lack of. Well it will run but it will cost you in the long run! You'd have to have a car specifically designed for use of Bio-diesel. vipes

Messy business
I have used 100 % EN grade biodiesel from reused oil in my 2,2 Di Primera which has done 54000 miles. Unfortunately I have had problems with black smoke which the garage has still not got to the bottom of( ECU and EGR both OK)but it did help to change the fuel filter. This has now been changed twice. My own feeling is that it my source is not pure and I would echo the need to filter it down to below 5 microns at home. Logically, biodiesel from pure vegetable oil should be better in this respect. There is also a visible amount of whitish sludge at the bottom of canisters related to cooling by the nearby ground - I was pouring it in, but I regret it now!! It seems like such a good solution but I am not so sure now. A fuel specialist might be able to divulge the additives used with normal diesel and how these help or conversely how not having them causes problems!
