Why not get a day's insurance from one of the many Daily Insurance companies? I'll give you a lift down to it if that would help

UPDATE:

Ive been having internet issues and just got back online!!

Anyway i picked up the car yesterday, and I have to say, its one hell of a credit to Richard and hsi Wife. It drives amazingly well, and having just driven my estate 180 miles, and then driving the saloon the same 180 miles back, it made me relise just how big a difference there is between the way both cars drive.

First off, the saloon is immaculate, inside and out. There are no scratches on the bodywork at all, and the odd small dent, which i aim to get fixed soon by a local body shop, but its certainly nothing that detracts from the way the car looks at all. It looks bloody amazing!

Inside is in time warp condition. The front seats just dont look like 190,000 miles worth, and the rear seats look like they have never been sat in. While oin the subject of the seats, they work amazingly well! put them on half way back down the motorway, and only tasted 60 seconds till i had to turn them off! They work as well as they did when they left the factory! amazing!
Likewise the boot looks like its never been touched, or had anything in.
I aim to place some mats / blankets in the boot to keep the boot in this same condition.

Steering is very positive and direct (unlike my estate where im sure there is slight play in the rack!), brakes work amazingly well (as you would expect, they are nearly new)

All in all, the car was a total bargain, and an utter drive to bring back to Stafford. Im sure I could of carried on the whole length of the country with no problems. It really was outstanding.

And i wish to re-iterate what a credit it is to its former keepers. Thanks Richard, its a truely spotless car. I will be keeping it this way from now on.

I will add a thread in the coming days with more pictures / updates.

Thanks
James

Our faithful Volvo was sold to a very polite gentleman who was pleased with his purchase. I wish him many trouble free years of motoring. Thanks to everyone who showed interest, but I only had one car to sell.
