The beige one looks nice but the red one is probably the better value buy....
Many thanks.

Alan if you want something a little 'different' and probably the only one of its kind, check this out:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194089165...UAAOSwzFVgjrsS

It's described as a project, but from what I've read it just needs work on the engine to get it going. Looks like a B18 conversion too (1957 car would have been B16 and 6v from factory). Colours might not be to everyone's taste(!) but if it's a solid car underneath, paint is the least of the worries to sort out.

Personally I quite like the 'camo' look; oddly, it seems to suit the image of the car!

I also like the 'period' roof-rack, and the twin SUs will add a useful turn of speed - a nice find!

Regards, John.

That Duett is interesting but for seven grand with the spares I don't necessarily see that as a better deal than the nicer looking car that started this thread...

...and I say that with a heavy heart as I think a sorted Duett would be a much nicer (and more practical) vehicle to own. (Things would need to be done to the Duett such as a higher geared rear axle and nicer suspension but...)

For me that Duett would have to be a really surprising and charming vehicle - better than the pictures on ebay - and the 10K PV544 would have to be a really solid and rust free vehicle.

If anyone wants advice on "where PVs rot" let me know - I can write up a bit if needed.

The red PV at Orchard Classics has just appeared on e-bay, looks a beauty.
