Does your boot have additional cargo lights in your V60?
Hi all,
Quick question, but does your V60s have additional lights fitted in the boot to illuminate inside? I have a MY16 V60 and it only has a single light fitting in the tailgate that's as useful as a candle under water. The manual states "The cargo area lighting is located in the tailgate", so I'm assuming it only has this single light, however my light is an LED fitting whereas the manual states it's a 43mm festoon filament bulb? Once again, given Volvo's safety ethics I'm really surprised they didn't put lights in the the actual cargo area, really infuriating. And don't get me started on the absence of the 12V socket . . .

My car is a little older than yours, but it also just has the one light in the tailgate. I agree that it's poor from Volvo and doesn't provide enough light. However I'm not convinced it's a safety hazard.

It's very poor, even with it being an LED. I would argue it's a safety hazard as you can't see what's in the back and thus what you're touching or what space is in there should you be trying to put other stuff in there. You could also argue if you can't see how it's been loaded, it may shift around during the journey posing a stability issue as the weight shifts.
