Default 740 Turbo - 3" Exhaust Downpipe

Guys,

I currently have a "cat back" (cat is actually removed) stainless steel exhaust I think it is around 2" inches in diameter with a 3inch tail pipe. I'm looking at getting the downpipe from the turbo back replaced. This is currently the original 2.5" in diameter. I was thinking of replacing this with 3" diameter.

What are your thoughts on this? Likely power gains?

The engine is b230FT.

Thanks,
C

Well took the plunge today and had the 3" downpipe fitted. Makes a considerable difference however I think the car is running a bit rich now, noticed some black smoke under acceleration. Does that sound normal? Think I'll need to get the fuelling mix looked at.
