Default Volvo neck cushion

All
Has anyone any experience of the official Volvo neck cushion?
Most of my driving is long motorway journeys, and whilst I find my car (V90) hugely comfortable, I wonder whether a neck cushion would improve things?

I did buy a cheap faux leather cushion from Ali Express for about £3, and no surprise its awful, plasticky and down-right uncomfortable.

I see the offish ones are £35-40, but just wondered if they are a worthwhile investment or not?

I bought one when it was on offer and it's just not for me, I just couldn't get comfortable using it.

Just noticed that you're in Stockport - if you ever come over Warrington way you'd be welcome to try it!

Ta. Car due in for a service in a couple of weeks - might see if they have any I can try...

The cheap n nasty one I got was awful, but can't decide whether that was the specific shape of it, or the idea of the pillow itself....

I wondered about it, but can't help thinking it'd just make me want to fall asleep!

I've got both types, but just use the head rest cover (ie not the neck cushion).

I got one for my wife and she likes it. My daughter on the other hand, finds it too firm and it pushes her neck out so her head is tilted forward.

They are both about the same height, 5’8” and my opinion on it is that for someone taller it is not a good idea. I’ve tried it on a long journey and I found it to be in the wrong position, because I’m 6’1”.

As for the quality, it’s ok, but I’d try and get the price down to around £25 to make me think it was worth buying one.

I got a pair of the pillow-type (not the cylinder one..) - it made the world of difference! I like resting my head on the head restraint while driving and the factory padding was a bit too far back + not nearly as soft as the pillow.. Expensive as $h1t though, for something that should have come as standard equipment on a luxury car..

Couldn't get on with the headrest cover at all. It pushed my head too far forward and frequently slid off to the side of the headrest.
Passengers like the neck cushion though. Not for driver perhaps. Too easy to fall asleep. Must keep alert.

I have both head rest cushions and the neck ones. The neck ones have changed from my old s80 ones and are no like memory foam. I hate it wife loves hers, I do like the hard rest cushions and have two wool and one leather one.
