850 M56 manual gearbox +
[[I
Hi everyone, my younger Son borrowed my 850, the cambelt snapped and he continued to turn the engine over in the hope it would start (what a plonker I hear you all say) and yes he bent every valve. As luck (or perhaps foresight) I also bred an older one who became a 1st class mechanic specialising in Volvo's (I think you know why) and as I owned an identical one except it was a manual and I need an automatic now, its an age thing....I'm knackered now, we decided to change the engine from the manual to the automatic (leaving the technical conversion to my Son) he has rebuilt my 740 three times now but he has never done a full conversion of manual to automatic, very impressed I was. I am now left with a very good M56 manual gearbox which will be sold with the following:- Old 3 piece Clutch, Flywheel, Clutch Slave cylinder, Clutch Master cylinder, Brake servo, reservoir, All pipes to link everything together (minus brake lines), Selector cables and Gearshift, Centre console, Clutch and Brake pedal assembly, Driveshafts, Nuts and Bolts. All of the above for £250 Taken from my 850se estate, 2.5, 1996, petrol 10 valve. I also have the original Radio/Cassette player with code number for sale for £100 , if you are interested or have any questions please contact me by email please, tracy-whispers@hotmail.com with a telephone number. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope someone may be able to make use of the above. |
