idle control valve
Hi, does anybody know where the idle control valve is on a C30 with a petrol 1.8 engine? I'm trying to get rid of the erratic idling whilst the engine is warming up. The revs fluctuates between 200 rpm and 1200 rpm. TIA.

It is built into the throttle body and it is just the throttle flap inside it that controls it,
Might need taking off and cleaning and also might be worth checking crankcase breather filter in bottom of airbox as the bit of sponge gets clogged with oil residue,

Thanks Rooster. I have cleaned the throttle body. An independent Volvo specialist told me to clean the idle control valve. Spent alot of time looking for something that isn't there! I'll check the vacuum pipes next as the revs are still fluctuating.
