Hi yes just fitted it today, the same way as yours is fitted, but I have now found that my top engine mount has a lot of play about 3mm,i only changed it 4 years ago, it is the new shape but it was not real Volvo,
I will let you know how it is when I get a new one, Thanks Dave |

Hi I have done it I have ordered the D5 poly yellow 25% harder, I hope it does not shake the car apart. should last a long time, I found my old round top mount so I am getting one to fit that as it is real Volvo mount, so know that it should fit with no problems, I hope, should have it Tuesday,
I will report back, Dave |

i fitted my powerflex top engine mount bush at the weekend, along with the XC90 vibration reducer.
Like a fool i spent 10 mins trying to remove the old bush out the wrong side of the original top engine mount......then realised, and a quick whack from the other side released it. much tighter now, but no vibrations or resonance, even when idling with aircon on. thanks for all the recommendations on this. a definite improvement. Power feels more instant now (i suppose less movement under the bonnet results in split second quicker uptake). (2008 2.4 T5). |

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERFLEX-...72.m2749.l2649 i fitted those to the underside of the top mount strutbush. they do not remove the flexing completely, but has reduced it by around 50% (that was before i fitted the top mount bush). its not completely solid, and a good push/pull will show a couple of mm of movement back/forth. i read that some people add big steel washers to the top of the strut mounts - i'm reluctant to do that in case it makes it too rigid. if i had done the top mounts and gearbox mounts first, i probably wouldn't have spent £30 on the on those. the others made more of a difference than the strut brace tensioning kit. |
