Sounds like fun

How do I change it to a male voice, I cannot find that option, just Voice Guidance on/off and Simple Voice Guidance.

Volvo have maintained that this issue only applies to me and that I am the only person that has ever noticed this issue, yet I know that many have seen it as I have had private messages from people here asking me what the issue is that they have seen - you are the only one that has 'broken cover' to admit publicly that they are also seeing this issue

What you need to do is to take a picture of the screen, ideally showing the satnav and the misdirection in the same picture (though I believe that they now accept that the top left of satnav screen is also showing the same incorrect direction) and give this image to your dealer explaining where it happened - they can then send it into Volvo.

The latest that they have said is that it is mapping fault, which is incorrect as in the cases I have reported to them the roads and junctions show correctly, the direction on the main screen show correctly - it is only the tell tale in the top left and its emulation in the driver display that is wrong - often spectacularly - as in A417/419 and M4 junction at Swindon.

If the error isn't notified to Volvo then they wont fix it
OK - Will start to take photo's.

I'm also getting involved in a project professionally with Volvo that will involve some high in the food chain people. if I come across someone who looks right I may well mention it.

You can change it on my 2013 model. It is one of the options.

SWMBO did not like his voice so it was changed back.

Sadly no option to upload anything else.

You have Sensus not Sensus Connect hence the difference, Sensus was more mature and compete than the updated and upgraded Connect

Default A1208

My Sat Nav also keeps quoting A1208 when notifying me of traffic problems. Doesn't matter where in country I am it's either all or part of the problem location. Garage suggested downloading sat nav update from website. Did this - takes about 2 1/2hrs to download and another 1 1/2hrs to upload in car, but it's not made any difference. Very frustrating.

Been an issue since Sensus Connect was introduced and according to Volvo I am the only person who has EVER experienced this issue.

Now I have proof that there is another

Not that that will change Volvo’s shockingly bad technical and customer support

I also have the issue with the weird road number but otherwise find the system pretty good.

I'm not keen on the voice and it's annoying it can't be changed. In my V50 I could switch between male and female voices but preferred the male one as it wasn't so stern!

Regarding being sent down narrow roads, can those affected make sure their system isn't set to avoid motorways etc as that will cause it to take weird routes

I some times get complete gobbledegook in the voice information, something like -- Traffic alert 4 square metres A 2 pints 100 yard metres etc etc.
Obviously this is not the exact wording, but you get my drift.
