I'm thinking of taking the 740 up to this on the 24th September, anyone else interested?

Can't confirm if I'm def going until I change a couple of things around and try to free myself up that day but if others are interested I should be able to go to.

Do any meetings happen in southern Ireland or is it just the north?

Probably a bad time of the year to organise meets, given the short evenings and the less than amazing Irish weather.

Maybe we should aim for a decent sized meet at an event in Spring?

There was an idiot called Tony on the forum many years ago sort of killed the Irish Volvo Scene after he said it was to dangerous to have a meet in the South and called me all sorts of names because us Northern ones decided the weather wasn't too bad. Everyone who did turn up had a great time and there was a bit of jealously on his part because he organised it, wanted to call it off 2 hours before we where due to meet.

That said I think it would be great if we could organised an All Ireland BKV?? With the following on the FB pages I think there would be enough Volvo's in Ireland to have a decent show.

Tony Sounds like a bit of a control freak. Probably for the best he’s not involved any more.

The last Volvo meet I was at was a charity car show up in Bangor with NI_Volvo_Nut, McChudd and some other guys. T’was great craic!

Just a load of Volvo nuts hanging around talking about Volvos.

+ there was plenty of other stuff to do and see at the rest of the show.

Are there any good car shows in Ireland that we could consider to go as a group?

We normally do Ballymena CarFest but I had BB commitments this year so couldn't go, don't think anyone else was that interested. Usually get 5/6 Volvo's. I like BCF because it supports MacMillan Cancer, not a fan of just lining other people's pockets. McHudd also has a mate in Ballygowan who does a charity show once a year, I've only been once as it usually falls on SHMBO's birthday lol

Hi all.
I remember that trip down to Mullingar. Great location as it was dead centre.
If a mk1 345 could make it in that weather, any body could lol.
Cheers Mark.
