New XC60 Delivery times.

Expecting delivery end of September but dealer has just said production dates are slipping. Has anyone heard of this.

As far as I know my delivery date is still October, not been told any different, seems along way off so I haven't asked the question.
I have added an extra this week, but was told it wouldn't affect the delivery date, fingers crossed.

Christmas has come early. Pick up car late on Tuesday a full week earlier than my latest date. This was the third date each one earlier than the last since it was changed from end September to end October. I have had constant calls from dealer with the changes since placing order. Quite good I thought despite the early set back..
Slight change, Christmas will now be late. I have to pay for it on Monday.

That's good news, I'm taking that it's probably at the dealers now, or maybe tomorrow morning. Perhaps you will be able to get a sneak view on Monday.
Anyway try and sleep well over the weekend.

You bet. 3 p.m. Is the due time and I won't be late. I have an appointment elsewhere in the morning which is a pity as it includes an hour each way on the M25 in my PX car driving with the utmost care to make sure it gets back OK. Paid my dues today, arranged insurance and was amazed to find it is cheaper than the old XC60.

Fantastic reception from dealer, the full reveal with black covered car followed by presentation of a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my wife. A long and full induction which only ended when I had no more questions and then the car was taken to the garage and filled with fuel. In addition a goody bag filled with fire extinguisher, Volvo cleaning kit, detailing kit etc etc. Unbelievable. The drive home was superb, car quieter than I imagined it would be, air suspension a dream and more responsive than my old D5 without question. Best car buying experience ever.
Keep you updated when I have a few miles on the clock but so glad I decided to buy another Volvo.

You certainly seem to have a excellent dealer, the best I got was half a tank of petrol, have you been with them long?
I'm glad you are liking your new car. I'm certainly still liking mine, have decided to keep the Polestar upgrade.
