Map update released

Thats great for the newer cars but still not upgraded the old senses maps. last upgrade was may 2016. Loads of people spent money on software upgrade to enable downloaded maps with a promise of yearly upgrades, but not happened.

Thanks Whiterdesign, that's save me £120 and a trip to a dealer then :-)

Think I'll stick with what I have / Google Maps with offline mapping on my phone.

Thanks for the heads up - feels like they come round quick! Shouldn't complain, its great to have the technical support from volvo/the map provider

Hmmmm....Ive done this a few times, but now the car is just ignoring the USB, Im using the same 32Gb USB Ive always used for the maps:

Formatted the USB to FAT32
Downloaded the update to the laptop
Transferred it to the USB
Ran and passed the Volvo checker ran on the USB

Car wont do anything?

Have I forgot a step or any tips?

Can only suggest that you download direct to the USB.
I once downloaded to my desktop when I had the V60 and had a problem when transferring to the USB, because a file dropped out.

That just wont work on my laptop, I will carefully compare the two though.

Make sure the USB stick is completely empty before you start. Remove any directory structure first. Good luck.
