I wouldn't mind losing mine but I quite like the V6T on wing and no reason to lose the others and keep those!
Dental floss works best.

I'm sure Volvo's argument will be that not every driver wants the sporty characteristics associated with Polestar's motorsport heritage (can you tell I work in advertising?) but surely R-Design drivers do? What if Momentum and Inscription cars had standard tune while the sportier models had the optimisation as standard?

My main complaint is that we are being asked to pay for Polestar to fix something that should work better in the first place, namely the gearbox at low speed whose performance is pretty poor for a modern gearbox.

They would just add the coat to the price of the car.

It makes a lot more of a difference than you might think. I didn't have a lot of time with mine in standard form, but after the polestar upgrade the difference was really noticeable, I'm not really after a sports car, but I do like a bit of grunt when called for. I'm not sure I would have paid the £835 but with the special offer of £635 on to the end of October, makes it well worth it, for me anyway.

A couple of days after picking up my ex demo V90CC D5 pp this month I did a 1500 mile trip from Hampshire to Edinburgh and surrounding area. A good time to test out the multitude systems; still plenty to learn though. Loving it.
I had the Polestar installed yesterday and can feel the difference in smoothness and more urge. There isn't actually a great increase in bhp;-5 but more useable torque. It's made a lovely car even better.
Slight confusion with the 'MyVolvo' order submission as I never had a code to give the dealer but they sorted all that without hassle. (Volvo cars Poole)
I called Direct line ins. to tell them of the upgrade today and was told that they have registered the fact that I have it but there is no increase in premium as isn't in their list of risk modifications. I have asked for a copy in writing and was assured that I will get it in the post.
Hopefully I think that I will love this car as much as the XC60 D5 R Design lux that it replaced. I think it is a stunning looking car.

Direct Line quoted me £14.60 as they said it was an engine re-map. The person I spoke to had never heard of it and said it wasn't on their system so they had to get their underwriters to quote for it.

Typical of the type of service you get from a call centre these days.

Similar story as mine, I didn't realise that you needed a code either but my dealer sorted for me, also same story with insurance, my company Admiral just registered the fact of Polestar, but didn't increase premium.

I was very cynical about the experience hence asking for it in writing. It was about £14 to transfer the policy last week from the XC60 to the V90 until expiry in May next year.
