Default Rotor Arm Hell

I'm trying to source a rotor arm for my 240 Torslanda, straight forward B200F engine and it's turning into nightmare.
Ordered parts for my annual service. Distributor cap, leads, plugs all OK, rotor arm wouldn't fit distributor shaft, wrong size.
Second try, right part number, ended up with the weird shaped rev-limiter type.
Third one turned up broken in post.
4th try - looked exactly right, same part number, except the small 1.5 on original and 2.5 on new one... car won't run with new one.
5th try... empty box turned up in post.
Aaaarggh! Getting desperate as the old rotor arm is now a few months past when it should have been changed and car starting to run rough.
Images below of the two types I actually have - original and non running replacement. Is there a resistor in the arm? Where can I get an original? Part number 1234332350.

Perhaps not ideal but I was stuck with the rev limiting type and after a number of issues over the years desided to swap it for a rotor arm from a Chevette, less complicated and a tenth of the price.

Why don’t you just order one from your local dealer? I ordered one recently for my 89 GLT but got the rev limiter type. They sent that back and got the normal type. They were in stock and were sent to my dealer for the next day. They were only a few quid.

Why don't you just get the proper one from a volvo dealer ?
You need 1389425

not sure where you got 1234332350 from it's not a volvo part number ....

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. I am puzzled where you have bought from. If I have read forum advice correctly the ordinary non-rev-limiting rotor arm is a rotor arm.

Generally I too would buy from a dealer. I still find FRF look after me well.

Geoffo I realise there can be things worth buying from third part suppliers. What is so better about the Classic Swede rotor arm?

Neither the normal or red limiting rotor will fit. You need the unique B200f and B230f version

Oh yes I'd forgotten. You explained that before.

Is there any benefit as between the one you stock or the one Volvo supply?

Thanks.
