DAB issues
Well the XC90 is the first car i have owned with DAB and its driving me insane!
I prefer to listen to Radio 4 in the morning but at frequent random intervals it changes to a different station. It used to change to Absolute radio but since it was at the dealer it now changes to Capital FM! Help! |

DAB is basically rubbish,
It doesn't like tunnels, built up areas or bad weather There is also still alot of coverage issues, you can google dab coverage in your area

Not sure this is a coverage issue.
For example today was sat in stationary traffic. Car not moving nor where any other cars. My hands were not even on the steering wheel so could not brush the controls accidentally and it just changed from radio 4 to Capital. |

Go into the DAB settings and turn off the handover to other station or handover to FM as this should stop this happening. When the signal degrades on the DAB station you're listening to it tries to find an equivalent on FM (sometimes without success). Switching that off should limit this happening.

Could I ask why you just don’t listen to R4 on FM?

Also have a look at the traffic alert setting on both DAB and FM system settings. Both of the stations you mention it changing to carry the traffic alerts and in my experience they often randomly activate the system (to get more listeners, who knows!).

Not sure if you have / use Car Play or Android Auto but BBC have just released their iPlayer Radio app on those platforms. Could be another alternative?
