Default Washer fluid & white spots

Since I've had my MY18 XC60 whenever I use the front wash/rear wash or headlamp wash it leaves small white spots all over the bonnet or rear wiper blade. They don't look like watermarks, if anything it resembles ash! As if the car has been near to a fire (which it hasn't!). The marks are angular and around 1mm in size - It makes the bonnet look as if its covered in stone chips.
They come off easy enough when washed with warm water or can be removed with a light fingernail. I've always used premixed washer fluid from Halfords or supermarket just as in all previous cars with no issues. What could they be and what fluid does anyone recommend if I need to change?

Thanks.

you are probably using a cheap salt based wash fluid so the deposits stay when the water evaporates , Volvo wash fluid is spirit based so does not leave a trace of deposit .

Salt based! Sounds nasty! Its never happened on any other car though. What brand do you recommend without taking a 2nd mortgage for something from the dealer

i've been using the volvo spirit for 30 + years ... it is about £.350 a litre you need one bottle per washer tank unless it is around -10C outside then you need 2 litres per tank , i don't know any other spirit based wash fluid , if it burns it's spirit !
