Yeah, that sounds good to me. I did exactly the same on my car and then helped Siamblue to do the same on his and both our cars look so much better now. When it comes to fit the sidelights, you will find out that possibly the LEDs are too long and rub against the plastic inside the sidelight housing. What I did, was to use my Leatherman and chop off the two top LED's. The bulb will still work perfectly fine
Ah glovebox, had forgotten about that. That is the spare bulb sorted!

Or if you are a bit creative, add a light on the passengers footwell like Volpete did.

I am planning to do this, as I have a spare light unit and I am going to go a bit further adding a light at the bottom of the two front doors, so when the door open, it will light up the ground below. This is what SWMBO requested.....

Brilliant idea, is there a guide about adding a passenger footwell light?

Keep me posted on the door lights, sounds like a great plan.

That is a great idea Alex

SWMBO is a genius!

My brother's old Scorpio had those in the bottom of the front doors.

I think it would be easier to fit lights to the door pocket, instead of to the underside of the door itself and would minimise the risk of setting off the old 'steel cancer'.

I think the passenger footwell light is a great idea too, as it does look like a bulb has blown, when you open the door and only the driver's well lights up.

Roll on the spring, so I can get some decent daylight to do this sort of thing again.

You can use the same bulbs you are going to get for the sidelights and the headlights, for the interior of the car. And trust me they make the interior look so much nicer. So you will need 2 more sets of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

There are 2 lights on the front of the the roof lining and two on the rear.
I agree with Alex with the one being horrible. I forgot that the first lot I bought were good and the second lot were quite poor, but I fitted them to the white side markers and they look fine in there. The biggest issue with them is that the colour of light output is inconsistant.

My bad.

I also used some 5x SMD LEDs in the side markers, which didn't touch the lenses at all.

Just type in '5 x 501 SMD LED' into e-bay and the list will appear. Sorry, can't remember which ones I bought, just that they were 5's, instead of 9's or 10's.

Big improvement. Can anyone link me to the bulbs I'll need for the headlights and side lights? Looks like an easy job

Thanks

These for the front sidelights: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-W5W-50...item1e617d724b

These ones for the side markers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/W5W-501-Si...item4cf62eae8d

If you can wait, you can get them from Hong Kong, for even less cash.
