Default Alarm glass breakage wires.

I've got the 441 code(glass breakage) coming up on my alarm on my v70.
Damn alarm keeps going off whenever I lock the car.
Having to leave it unlocked at the moment.
From what I read about it as long as the circuit is below 40 ohms then it should stop it from getting up upset.
It would appear there is a green/yellow wire in the taigate and the wires going to each rear back quarter window.
If i was simply to earth the tail gate wire and join the two wires at each back side window would this fool that part of the alarm ?
The terminals on the glass are somewhat oxidised and I cant be bothered trying to clean them again.

The location of the glass breakage sensor module was something I thought would have been incorporated into the siren unit.
Thanks for the location pdf

Just an update on this fault.
After checking the resistance on the alarm breakage wire in the tailgate which runs along the top of the rear window glass had a break in the line just at the spot where the rear washer jet is.
I've had a slight leak for a while on the seal on the washer jet and not sure if that has contributed to this fault or not.
I was going to simply earth the green/yellow wire inside the tail gate to bypass the problem until this morning....
When I turned on the heated window the damn glass shattered !!! so... I'm having to get a new glass anyway.
I've had this happen to me in a merc years ago as well... talk about cursed lol.
Anyway these cars are getting old now and possibly one to watch for if you get the 441 code (glass break) code in the alarm system.

Hi,
Thank you for the clarification. Bad story than that window that breaks. I don't understand why this happened. I've never heard anything like that before. You're going to have to fit a new rear window...

I don't know if this glass is sticked or not. My laptop crashed Saturday afternoon. I'm actually installing window 7, and when the updates will arrive to the end, before Xmas I hope, I will install my volvo soft. I will have a look.

May be someone will have answer to this question from now.

I think the H.R.W fault is to do with a high resistance causing a hot spot on the glass.
this will be only the 3rd time in 28 years in the trade that I've seen this.
I'm having to claim through my insurance for the glass.
I'm hoping they can obtain one easily enough as they can't get much demand for one of these nowadays.
It's money I could have done without spending as there will be some kind of excess to pay.

Last update on this.
New tailgate glass fitted and alarm now behaving itself and 441 code has not returned.
I checked the wiring on this circuit should anyone else need to get involved.
The wiring comes from plug A pin 5 on the alarm control module (behind dash)on green/black wire to the rear side window glass which goes through the loop on the glass and comes out as a green/orange wire to the other rear side window glass loop.
It then comes out of that glass as a green/yellow wire to the tailgate glass loop.
These three windows are on a series circuit and the module looks for a resistance below 40 ohms, doesn't state a minimum value.
In my case though I was carrying some expensive tools etc in the back so wanted the alarm to work.
However as far as I can tell if you didn't want to bother repairing/replacing any of the 3 glass panes then you could simply earth the wire coming from the control module and that should stop random activations of the alarm due to this fault, assuming the glass parts or connections to them were at fault.
