Default A/C Receiver Drier - rocking horse poo?

Hi all

I cannot for the life of me find a like-for-like replacement for the receiver drier in my 1997 940 LPT estate.

There are driers out there but the orientation of the connections is different. OEM part number is 6847512. Does anybody know where I can find one?

James (Volvo Always) had the same issue but fitted a different drier and re-routed the pipe from the compressor to fit but my pipe doesn't seem to want to move enough to make it work and I don't want to put any undue stress on it.

Cheers
Dale

Hi Dale,

Can you post a picture of your current dryer and I'll see if I can find the type I used by altering the Compressor pipe.

You could try FRF Volvo dealer. May still supply it under classic parts.

I fitted this type/orientation. My old original dryer was the same layout as yours, with the hose from compressor at the front fitting.

Just moved the flexible rubber hose from compressor to the other connection and threaded it on. The hose elbow just cleared the strut tower support!

James.
