R Design Seats
Hi,
I am still on the look out for a used V50. (around late 2008 - to early 2010) Almost bought a 2.0D Powershift, but found the permformance and mpg quite bad compared to my 2.0TDI DSG Golf, so Im thinkng D5 Geatronic. 40mpg compared to 55+mpg My question now is, are the R Design seats different to the Standard seats? I know the colour is different, but is the support / shape different. I have a bad back and I am looking for comfort. Ideally, I would like a R Design but with all Black Leather, but are these's seats any different apart from colour? How do they compare to those in the SE or SE Lux? |

Which S40 do you have? Do you have 18 or 17 inch alloys? How is the ride? |

I have a Volvo S40 R-design and find the seats are very comfortable I used to drive a Ford Mondeo Titanium X but always had lower back problems after a long drive. I can recommend the R-design seats

They only have a different fabric and pattern. The shape is the same. If you thought the normal seats were comfy, then the R-Design won't let you down - they are the same, with different fabrics
The only thing is - for me - you slide around too much. Basically like on leather seats. No "hold"
