My screenwash isn't working on rear windshield
Hello, this is not a major concern of mine just a little knitpicky but I'm unable to get the screenwash to spray on the rear windshield, was wondering what I could do to fix it myself and where to check, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to cars hence why I've gotten myself a 240 so I can learn and try and fix things myself, with the help of people from this forum and online.
Thanks |

Worth checking the one way valve that is in the rear screen pillar- drivers side, remove the inner trim panel and look above the rear light. These can become blocked- whilst there you can test the pump by removing the water tube that runs from the same along the floor (under metal trim & carpet) place the end in a jar/tin and if water is being pumped out the valve & tailgate fitting will need cleaning- new valves are available from the likes of ebay.
Pump & Valve are the easier check first and once working flush the system through as it is quite common for old screen wash to form a scum etc. You should find two pumps under the washer bottle for the rear & front-worth doing the front whist in there (you will also find another valve for the headlamp washers if fitted just behind the grill) Hope it helps.
