Default Where to find inner OS Constant Velocity joint

Hi all,

My first post. I hope this is in the right place but apologise if it wrong.

I am looking for an inner CV joint for my 1998 V70 but am struggling to find one. I have also looked for a complete shaft but again, they do not seem to be available. The VIN number of my old girl is YV1LW7202X2543640.

If anyone can offer any suggestions as to where to look I would be grateful. In desperation I have even explored the possibility of a genuine one but found that they are discontinued.

Hi 4x4.

Thank you for the link. I'll ask them to verify that their part will be okay - just to be sure.

Hi Volvo again. That is one of the places I had asked but unfortunately their part is not a match for my car. Thank you for taking the time to look it up though. That is appreciated.

Is this the same company? https://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/

Prior to Brexit I bought a complete NS shaft from them for my S80 rather than faff about with grease etc. Good fit and quality was ok for the price. Had no issues.

Their eBay page: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_d...kw=volvo%20v70

I think Rudi Dudi mentionned a company in Bristol that refurb originals...or was that steering racks?

Is this any good,
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185640220...cAAOSwFE1jYIut
I recently had a drive shaft from them for my V40 and so far I'm very happy with it and they were easy to do business with.

Hi cogs. A pair of shafts/ joints was not something I had considered so thank you for the link. I have sent a message to the seller asking it they will fit my car.

Well that worked brilliantly. Thank you everyone for the input. Driveshaft fitted and working.

Well, working up until the car failed its MOT on severe rus. Oh well, you can't win them all.
