LOL as they say 'no, no offence taken'

The reason I have some (dubious) expertise on alloy wheel repair and replacement is that I've had it happen too many times, in 10 years with the V70 if I remember correctly I've totally scrapped 3 wheels, had 2 straightened and have 1 sat in the back of the garage awaiting repair, now two of them may have been damage predating my ownership but the rest are down to the #### poor maintenance of the roads around here which means once a pothole is there it's going to be a while until it's filled, but more importantly the roads are in such a poor state that a bit of rain or frost and gaping holes can appear in less than 24 hours.

Crapola.. So maybe I should be looking at new wheels, slinging them in the back of my Mum's car and instructing her to go take them to a mechanic to fit new tyres on and swap them over onto the car...

A bit of a logistical headache living over 300 miles away..

There's literally thousands of Nissan alloy wheels on ebay, given that you're trying to do the job from a distance probably worth a search on there (and similar sites), you could get them delivered direct to your mum and she could get a local garage/tyrefitter/friend to fit them, a lot of them even have passable tyres on them too.

Tyres have been ordered (unfitted), they will be placed in my Mum's boot and she'll then drive the car (very cautiously) to the wheel repair place who will straighten the wheels in about 3 hours and then fit the new tyres to them, hopefully that will be case closed.
