Thank you! My V40 used to have the factory sub but previous owner took it out for some reason. I'm getting a new one for free but didn't know where it mounted exactly.

She's back in one piece again

Thanks again to Gatos for the 2nd hand struts, total life saver!

the arch gap front to back may be a little interesting as the back is on the coilovers still, but all that matters is that its back on the road, i can decide my options about what to do long term at a later date, utilising the machine/cnc/weld shop at work and having the bust off threads welded seems to be the favourite.

And yes, the poor old girl needs a wash haha

Finally replaced the recirculation motor after three years of absence, so I can have maximum air-con if we get a summer this year. There is no skin left on my hands now.

Oh, do tell more, I think mine is long dead. Did you remove the whole dash or did you cut a square behind the glovebox to access it?

I drilled a couple of large, well placed holes behind the glovebox and used a long screwdriver. I also removed the passenger side dash lower mounting bolt so the whole thing flexed, and I could get my hand up behind to disconnect the arm and connector. Absolute pain to do. I'll pop a picture up later of where I drilled the holes..

Cool

New oil (Some Liqui Moly 5w40 from a drum the Indy had), gen Volvo oil filter and gen Volvo fuel filter. Air and cabin filters were both changed last service and still clean.
Topped up the brake fluid to overflowing and the red brake fail warning light went out, BUT last time I tried that it did not (The brakes are not leaking), so it appears either the connector or reservoir cap are Iffy.

My Indy even managed to turn off the service due warning light, BUT forgot to put the lights back to Auto.

Next service should be at 300K km and include a full cam belt, tensioner and water pump job.

This service was 65 Euros (35 for the rip off 5 liters of oil), BUT the 300K will cost 550 Euros (They will suppy all the parts, BUT not the oil).

New wing mirror cover fitted, but no time for a full de-mud job!

Gave my V40 a much needed wash today, looks so good now. I hadn't washed it for a while and it was covered with salt from the roads.
