My19/my20 v90

It's that time of year again...

I ordered a V90 R-Design with Santander on the 1st of February, with the order placed at Doves Preston. Within the last couple of days, the website seems to have changed and the specs have changed slightly also with a few extra bits now being listed as standard on the new MY20 cars.

I was told shortly after order that my car would be arriving at the dealer at the end of May, so I presume it'll be built roughly around 10 days before that, so call it mid-day.

Am I likely to see a MY20 car, or will they still push through some MY19's to fill the existing orders?

I don't have an order number given to me yet, or a build date specifically. Tried to contact Doves but had no response yet.

When I placed the order at the beginning of March, there wasn't even an option to order a MY19 as I was told Volvo has stopped making them, so I went straight for a V60 Inscription Plus which is what they have listed on the website at the moment.

The estimate delivery of my order is early June which is not far off from yours.

Since there are a few changes between the 2 MY, eg for V60 the convenient pack no longer includes the power folding back seat, which is a bit of a bummer since that's the main reason I opted for that pack.

Better chase up Doves Preston to avoid any surprises!

I have just looked at the S90 and the inscription pro has gone as have the 20” alloys as standard, heated steering wheel and washer jets but they have added a rear parking camera. I ordered mine in Dec 2018 and it’s due mid June, I will be annoyed if I have an inscription plus spec and not inscription pro as ordered spec

You should at least get the spec. you’ve ordered, regardless of what trim level/name applies at the time of manufacture.
Clarify with your dealer pronto!

Clarified with my supplying dealer I’m definitely getting a MY19 but not in my colour choice as it had already been stopped (passion red).

Apparently a break down of communication between Santander and dealer. So it’s coming in ice white and without the MY20 goodies
