Tailgate won't open fully
I have a 2011 V70 and some time ago the tailgate started to act weird:
- it opens fine until it reaches 70% of its max - when I use the remote key then I have have to press Tailgate unlock multiple times to get it opened at 100% - when I use the boot lid open handle button then I have to press multiple times to get it opened at 100% There are no signs on dash, tailgate closes fine. It feels like the tailgate max level has been re-programmed or there is some sensor issue. I followed the "reset" procedures, I tried both VIDA and method described by Volvo [1], no success. I get these DTCs: - POT-B108467 Boot/Trunk Motor Close switch. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal incorrect after event. - POT-C112767 Position Sensor. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal incorrect after event. Attaching VIDA status about POT. Does it sound familiar issue ? -- [1] https://www.volvocars.com/en-th/supp...rated-tailgate |

If it functions like my 2012 XC70, you have to raise the tailgate all the way to 100% open by pushing it there by hand and then hold the open button on the remote for at least three seconds. This informs the sensor that the position is the max and then it will work to that level. Mine is electrically operated. I do not know which system yours might be or how hydraulic systems are reset.
